SBHC offers a wide variety of classes with a focus on basic creed, and instilling the love of Allah, his Prophet (sal-lal-laa-hu ‘alayhi wasal-lam) and our beautiful deen in to the hearts of our future generations. We hope to follow in the footsteps of the companions, and in doing so, teach our children the Quran with proper tajweed at an early age as well as the Hadith of our Prophet (sal-lal-laa-hu ‘alayhi wasal-lam).

Overview

This course is designed for students who know to read Arabic but do not understand the language.

 

Course Duration: July 1st to August 28th 2013 (total of 26 sessions) 

 

Description

Review reading rules and build vocabulary skills

The teacher will review Arabic Letters, Short Vowels-fathah, kasrah, dommah, Arabic letters connected forms, Sukun, Long Vowels –alif, yaa, waw, Tanween,Shaddah, Laam Shamsiyyah, Laam Qamariyyah by introducing new vocabulary.

Masculine and Feminine words with grammar rules

Opposites

Exercises that require students to translate sentences and eventually paragraphs from Arabic to English and English to Arabic.

 

Requirements

Students must know how to read Quran. Fluency is not required.

 

Evaluation

Students will be evaluated twice during the course.
